Krystal Kreek Farm is located in the beautiful rolling hills of western Ohio near Indiana on 50 acres of lush pastures, meadows and woods with a spring fed creek running though the property. Our Toggenburg dairy goat herd has access to most of the farm for browsing which they take advantage of, especially in the summer. Our dairy goats share the creek and pond with a flock of geese that keep a watchful eye on the property and warn us of any intruders.

Does are fed the following:
  • Free choice alfalfa and grass hay.
  • 16% custom mixed ration utilizing KENT FEEDS.
  • KENT Goat Minerals. We have been very pleased with the results.
The Toggenburg herd receives the following care:
  • Yearly enerotoxemia vaccination.
  • Yearly tetanus vaccination.
  • Bo-Se shots.
  • We worm once a week with herbal wormers augmented with chemical wormers as needed (skeptical at first but they do work).
  • Staph Aures vaccination every six months.
  • Nasalgen and 5ml of poly serum are given to all kids at birth.
  • All kids are removed promptly at birth and receive heat treated clostrum and are raised on pasteurized milk.
  • We test yearly for CAE. Last years 2006 kid crop was entirely negative. Currently all the adult does are negative except a very small number of older does which are housed separately. We will be testing the 2007 kid crop and the negative adult does in a few weeks.
