My Toggenburg dairy goat does are basically divided into two breeding lines - the A Line and F Line.
The A line of our Toggenburg does are all descended from FULTON RIVER BEND ALICE AGAIN 2*M. She was a tall, long bodied doe with an excellent general appearance and an adequately attached udder. She classified VG 88 as a five year old. She was a successful cross between Sunshine and Stonybrook lines and her offspring have crossed well with bucks we subsequently purchased. Although she produced only two daughters and a son, their offspring continue to exhibit the structural correctness and consistency of ALICE . Her son OVID was in the top 15% production for milk for two years and a grandson DYNAMITE produced some outstanding show does for the SUM-LOT HERD in Indiana. Click here to view our A line of Does.
When we visited the Tansy Hill Herd in Maine in 1990 we brought home two maternal half sisters, a bred milking yearling (Tansy Hill Cavalier Fiesta) and a kid (CH Tansy Hill DSK Fortune). These two does proved to be the foundation of the very prolific, consistent and showable "F" line. This line continues to reproduce itself and has crossed well with both our original lines and other lines we have worked with. Click here to view our F line of Does.
We also maintain information on Toggenburg does which have been important in the past but which are no longer with us. Their quality bloodlines still run throughout our herd. Click here to view Archives.
