Krystal Kreek Breeding Bucks

We like to use a team of bucks to reinforce various traits using related lines. We have found that line breeding loosely within family lines works very well. Our quality bucks are available for service or you can purchase semen for breeding.

We also maintain information on Toggenburg bucks which are important but no longer with us. Their quality bloodlines still run throughout our herd. Click here to view archives.

Andros is long, tall and very dairy. He finished his GCH going BBIS at age 6. At 8 he is still up on his feet and legs and going strong. He has two National GCH does in his immediate pedigree and his grandsire Honour system sire a NGCH doe. His dam is the only living doe in the country to classify 94. His daughters are generally growthy, long bodied, with level rumps and well attached milky udders. Several have been shown nationally and placed in the top five. Semen is $50 a straw.

Bandit was purchased because we were impressed with his dam and his pedigree was pretty much Little Creek animals. We had so admired the smoothness of blending of the Little Creek animals. We felt that he would cross well with our very dairy, milky stock. We have not been disappointed. His two year old daughter Blue Vega was 5th at the 2010 Nationals and yearling Affinity was 3rd. Attilla’s dam, Aymora is a full sister to Ayla. She has been shown at the nationals several times and always placed in the top three including 2nd place 2 year old milker at the 2007 Nationals. He is very sharp and clean throughout with a beautiful, long rump. His fist daughter to freshen in our herd looks very promising.

Avatar’s dam Accord was the second place three year old and his littermate Affinity was the third place yearling milker at the 2010 Nationals. His other littermate Aster also looks promising. He is long, tall and dairy and was bred to a number of the 2-10 doelings.

Draconus came to us in the summer and fought a low grade respiratory condition for several months. We feel this stunted him a little  and resulted in weak pasterns which neither of his parents had. His pasterns have improved. He has a perfect topline with a long rump. We used him this year and hopefully he will live up to his pedigree. He is on the Young Sire List.

Woody is the buck who was to be the trade for Tilden when he was returned to Cherry Glen. He is a very precocious fellow who managed to get over, slither under and squeeze through fences and gates. Consequently he is bred to the majority of adult does. By the time we had determined all his escape routes which his pen mates respected, he had completed his job. We are eagerly awaiting his kids as his mother is a beautiful doe who has shown well and is an excellent brood doe. His sire has Krystal Kreek on both sides of his pedigree.

The fall of 2009 Cherry Glen was gracious enough to allow us to use Cherry Glen Kooper Airmale who is the son of GCH Cherry Glen Tristin Airmale 2*M (Littermate to Ayla). We used him extensively and decided to retain two of his son. Airmale is a cross of our A line and the best of Tansy Hill which goes back to our foundation stock.

Grey Goose is a buck we wanted to retain out of Andros and Sonnet, one of our favorite does who true to her line gets better with each freshening. Goose is a very growthy stylish young buck who holds a lot of promise.
